While been involve in the wood family business for over 35 years and looking for quality cabinets in 2001 without luck, finding only cheep particle board options at a excessive price, Francisco decided to make his own furniture and UR design started. 

With diverse backgrounds, experiences, ideas, and a lot of hard work, he started something fresh. After analyzing options for furniture materials, he seized an opportunity to create UR Design, focusing on modern technology as well as modern design. 

From 2001 to 2008, UR Design carried and sold only veneers, producing in many different sizes and species including maple, red oak, cherry, knotty pine, and white oak. 

The veneres were produced in Lerma and Tijuana, Mexico, and at other locations throughout the United States and Canada. 

In 2008, UR Design expanded its product line by purchasing machinery for the Tijuana location and began producing custom furniture using its wood products. The furniture products are now imported and sold unassembled to clients all over the U.S. according to the clients’ specifications and needs. 

UR Design continues with plans to add more products for the wood industry, including particle board, medium density fiberboard, lumber, and molding. 

The Company aspires to become a source for all of its clients’ wood product needs and has opened a line for edge banding and is looking to expand the wood product line with MDF, plywood, OSB, and lumber. 

UR Design is an active California corporation doing business in California and has been successful in establishing itself in the U.S. market and has ongoing plans for expansion.
